Information seeker. A successful consultant is well aware of what they do and do not know, and as such is committed to constantly seeking out new information and ideas to help fill this knowledge gap. What’s more, they are also driven to constantly develop their knowledge and skills on a consistent basis, whether it’s through professional development courses, training, certifications, publication of research, or simply networking and learning from others in their field.

This kind of consultant is a lifelong learner, someone who is never quite satisfied that they know what they need to know in order to be successful. It’s a kind of intellectual curiosity that drives them to constantly ask questions, seek answers, and look for new and interesting ways to develop and apply knowledge to their daily activities.
